I don't believe the issue is with my laptop since I have connected it to an LG monitor using their USB-C cable and don't have this issue. I then plugged the monitor's power cable into a dedicated outlet, but the issue still persists (maybe a little less frequently). I ran the Built-In Diagnostics (BID) test and the monitor did everything in the steps as indicated here: Sometimes, the monitor will go blank and give me a message indicating that it could not get a signal from the laptop, but then it resolves itself by re-acquiring the laptop signal on its own. Also it should be noted that when the monitor goes blank, the monitor's power light remained ON the whole time.
This can sometimes happen a couple times in succession or not show up until an hour later (there is no pattern from what I can see).

I recently purchased a U2719DC monitor and have it connected to my Macbook Pro using the USB-C cable that came with the the monitor. If someone already did, and it has been resolved, I appreciate it if the post can be directed to me. I looked through the message board and I don't believe I saw someone bring up this particular issue.
